As President Pro Tempore of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), Colombia assumes with deep pride and a strong sense of responsibility the leadership of Greater Caribbean Week, culminating with the 10th Summit of Heads of State and/or Government of the Member States, Countries, and Territories of the ACS—an historic moment to reaffirm our commitment to regional integration and the sustainable development of our shared region.
Now more than ever, the Greater Caribbean calls us together. From our diversity, our shared coasts, and our common challenges, Colombia is advancing an ambitious cooperation agenda aimed at strengthening regional integration, revitalizing our economies, protecting the Caribbean Sea, and moving forward collectively toward a development model that puts life at the center.
We believe in a diplomacy rooted in social justice, democracy, and peace. That is why, through this Pro Tempore Presidency, we are working to position the Greater Caribbean as a living force—capable of leading climate action, promoting sustainable tourism, driving productive transformation in our territories, and closing the connectivity gaps that still divide us.
For Colombia, the Association of Caribbean States is a strategic platform to strengthen ties with our sister nations and to project a strong, united, and compassionate voice in the face of global challenges. This is our commitment: a united, resilient, and prosperous Greater Caribbean—an example of cooperation in defense of people and the planet.
